Our Pretty in Pink Necklace features several different types of beads in shades of pink, rose gold, and copper. At 19 inches, it is considered to be a “princess” necklace, resting on the collar bone. Where the necklace sits on any given person will vary a bit due to neck size, though, so it’s best to measure before making a purchase. Of course, you may not be able to do that for a gift, right?! If that’s the case, keep an eye out to see what the intended gift recipient usually wears to get an idea of what length would make for a great gift.
The pendant charm is a rich, dark rose gold. Not quite copper in tone but not a super light rose either. Check out the close-up photo of the pendent hanging from a rod. That photo was taken outside in the sun and is the best representation of the color. The other two photos were also taken outside but on a cloudy day. (Still trying to hone my nascent photography skills. Photography is hard!)
Multi-colored seed beads in pink, light green, iridescent white, copper, and gold really sparkle and create a fun, casual look. In keeping with our Pretty in Pink theme, I utilized frosted pink beads and Apollo Gold beads. The latter are round, clear glass beads lined with pink and gold. Round copper beads add a little bit of color “weight” and pair well with the 3/4 inch, heart-shaped pendant charm. A copper-tone lobster claw clasp finishes this little cutie off in just the right way.
I can totally see our Pretty in Pink Necklace stacked with a choker and a matinee necklace. Don’t know much about the different necklace lengths? Necklace lengths can vary, and different lengths are suitable for various styles and occasions. Necklace Lengths: A Primer will help inform you on some common necklace lengths along with their descriptions and historical significance.
